Growth Applications has implemented various polices, procedures and technology to prevent would be spammers and their unwanted emails include:
| 1. | Terms of Use that prohibits the use of Corporate Mailer for any illegal purpose including the uploading and sending of unsolicited commercial email (UCE). |
| 2. | Encourages the use of user’s tools for confirming subscriptions. |
What is Spam?
Spam is the delivery of unsolicited commercial emails that have not been requested by the recipient.
Technology used to encourage permission based marketing
Web based forms
Web based forms are dynamically generated by Corporate Mailer to help users collect and identify individual subscribers. Users are encouraged to display their Privacy Policy on these forms and be specific about reasons for collecting information at the time of collection.
Confirmation Emails
When a person subscribes to a web based form, the system can automatically send the new subscriber an email asking them to confirm their subscription. This is commonly termed double opt-in.
Once the subscriber has confirmed their subscription, Corporate Mailer logs the time and date of confirmation next to the original registration time and date stamp. Each confirmed subscriber is then identified by a confirmed subscription icon throughout Corporate Mailer.
Unsubscribe Link
All emails sent from Corporate Mailer have by default, an unsubscribe link on the side or at the bottom. When someone has unsubscribed, they are automatically removed from the database. The account holder is also notified so they can remove there user from any other databases they may appear on.
Send to a Friend
This function allows the account holder to encourage subscriptions by recipients forwarding on the original email.
Screening
Growth Applications screens unusual activity within the Corporate Mailer system. Screening includes automatic notification to Growth Applications admin in the following: The emailing of more then 10,000 email at one time, unless other wise notifying admin.
Privacy
A recipient of Corporate Mailer email will only be able to see their name and email address. No other information is provided regardless of the number of emails sent.
Growth Applications also takes your privacy policy seriously.
Complaint Handling
Growth Applications has been recognized for its outstanding service to all our customers which includes upfront and direct about our anti-spam measures and these are handled.
The following outlines process taken:
When a complaint is received, the account holder is notified immediately that they have received a complaint from one of there subscribers.
| • | If the subscriber is known, Growth Applications will instruct the account holder to immediately remove the subscriber. |
| • | If the account holder claims to have permission to send to the complainant, evidence must be presented. |
| • | If no evidence is received, the complainant will be removed immediately from the account holder’s database. |
| • | If there is a further complaint received the account holder will be educated on best practice to mitigate further incidence. The account holder will then have the complaint agents their details and the complaint recorded. |
| • | If the account holder passes a minimum amount of complaints, the customers account will be de-activated or terminated. Legal action may also be initiated in accordance with the terms and conditions. |
Growth Applications acts in accordance with the national privacy policy and encourages all customers to understand their local legislation and that of where their subscribers are located.
Growth Applications encourages persons who believe they have been sent spam, by an account holder using Corporate Mailer, to contact the sender if the sender is known, if the sender is not known please send your complaint directly to us.
